He is not just a PE teacher as he also takes on the responsibility of the P.E. Lead role which includes a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication. Through this the students have all enjoyed many extra opportunities taking part in school events such as festivals and tournaments, this includes organising and running our annual football festival at the school where all schools in Felixstowe take part and of course our main event that is Sports Day! Matt was a massive help during the pandemic and was also a support in other subjects including the development of our Millennium Garden."

"Mr West and his team of coaches who support us here at Langer have changed our attitude and inclusion with Sport and P.E. After not taking part in any outside school events for nearly 10 year prior to Xtra Time coming in we have now taken part in an average of 12 events per year for the last 3 years.

These incudes the school hosting to all other Felixstowe schools in the annual Paarluf event and taking on all the arrangements for any extra events we attend outside of school and of School Sports Day. Mr West also makes sure we have more than extra support too to help with some of more challenging children and caters for all their induvial needs. We would not be the same if they were not part of our school and this includes regular holiday activity days to help make sure our children are being looked after in out of term time dates too."

"We have worked with XtraTime Sports to provide physical activity to our children in our free Early Birds Breakfast Club.  Jack (the coach) is brilliant with the children and feels like one of our staff team. "

"I have known Chris and his team for a few years now and wherever they go they make an immediate impact to help improve behaviour and quality of delivery in sport and P.E. They have a brilliant way of dealing with children who have extra needs which is demonstrated by their professional attitude towards education and their kindness and patience when working with the pupils and staff. They have only been with the school since 2022 however Chris is part of the board of governors and we have increased our P.E. due to an increase in more children wanting to be at Unity, and Xtra Time are part of this reason. We run in partnership with Xtra Time HAF holiday camps to allow more opportunities for children beyond the normal school hours. All in all they represent a what every school would want and expect when working within a school capacity."
