Sports Activities for Schools
We are currently working in a number of schools in Felixstowe, Colchester, Ipswich and surrounding areas. The team offer a wide range of services so whether you’re looking for a full P.E programme or coaches to run your after-school clubs, XtraTime can help.
We understand that every school is different and so is every child. This is why at XtraTime, we don’t take a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Instead, we work closely with staff to put together a tailored package for every school we work with to ensure they get the most out of their contract with us.
We are passionate about going the extra mile for our schools. We understand that teachers are busy so our coaches are always happy to lend a helping hand outside of their sessions. Our aim is to become an extension of your team, so you think of us as colleagues rather than external coaching staff.
XtraTime has worked with many of our existing schools for more than a decade, so this has enabled us to build strong relationships with both children and staff. This also means that we have become an invaluable part of their team.
Below is some more information about who we currently work with and the services we deliver:
Kingsfleet Primary School, Felixstowe
Our coaches have worked with the team at Kingsfleet since 2008. Matt delivers P.E sessions four days a week and works with all year groups. He also runs at least one lunchtime play leader club and after school club every day.
Langer Primary Academy, Felixstowe
We have worked with Langer Primary Academy ever since Xtra Time began in 2007. At the beginning we delivered one club per week but we now offer a full P.E programme, as well as football and gymnastics clubs for children during after school and lunchtime play leader clubs. Our coaches are based at Langer five days a week.
Unity Primary Academy, Colchester
Unity Primary Academy is currently our only school in Essex. We have a team of coaches who are based here four days per week, offering P.E sessions and lunch and after school clubs for all year groups.
Avocet Academy Trust
We began working with Avocet Academy Trust in 2017 and now deliver P.E sessions and clubs in the following schools: Leiston Primary School, Wickham Market Primary School and Aldeburgh Primary School. Our coaches run after school clubs at Easton Primary School and support in the organisation of inter-school competitions for all schools in the Trust. We are soon to launch a weekly Wildcats session in partnership with another Avocet school, Saxmundham Primary School.
Daily Lunchtime Clubs
We also run daily lunchtime clubs and four after school clubs a week at Nacton Primary School, P.E sessions two days a week and lunch and after school clubs at Orford Primary School in Woodbridge and a breakfast club at Grange Primary School in Felixstowe five days a week.
Additional services
In addition to our work with schools, we have been providing weekly pre-school football sessions at Melton Montessori Nursery since 2012.
XtraTime provide weekly football and futsal sessions and have worked with Kesgrave Kestrels to deliver football coaching for 12 years.
We are also able to offer funded school holiday places and a healthy packed lunch for children through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme and provide Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) cover for teachers in the schools we work in.
